Inalfa Roof Systems headquarter is located in Venray with more than 600 employees using the latest technologies to develop the roof systems of the future. In the state-of-the-art Test and Proto centre, new roof systems are designed and tested extensively.
The Venray plant houses assembly lines for a large range of sunroofs (Mercedes S-Class, Renault Modus, BMW X3/X5, BMW 3 and 5 Touring, Volvo S80, Citroen C3 Pluriel and many more). Truck hatches are also assembled here for Volvo Global Trucks, Scania, MAN, Mercedes-Benz and others.
Challenge
Inalfa was using the IMDS already when imds professional has been contacted. At this time Inalfa finished their IMDS-data entries on customer requests but without a defined process and identified responsibilities. Additionally there was no IMDS-supplier management established which caused a situation of many missing supplier data entries in the IMDS at Inalfa. The idea was to qualify staffs from different departments or to get a support by an external provider.
Task and solution to imds professional:
Appointed deadlines by Inalfa customers required a quick support. Following this situation imds professional managed the first IMDS-projects. In this context imds professional took care about a high-quality IMDS-data entry for several Inalfa customers (e.g. Daimler, Volvo and VW), checked all required and available sub-components and took on the client and IMDS-project management for the assigned data entries. IMDS-projects with almost 3500 nodes were realised by imds professional. Parallely imds professional supported Inalfa with the establishment of an efficient IMDS-supplier management. To date imds professional assists Inalfa with the continuous process optimisation.

Outcome
Inalfa delivers accurate IMDS-data just in time to their customers. The project staff now is able to concentrate on their projects and focus on their original engineering job assuring the high Inalfa Roof Systems quality and competence.
