  1. "Analysis" tab in the IMDS details

In the new "Analysis" tab, IMDS users can query the classifications, materials and substances used in the MDS as well as their aggregated weights and percentages. With release 11.1.1 (from August 31, 2018) of the IMDS-a2, it already contains a report that provides a summarized view of this screen.

  2. Administration

Company administrators have the option of directly administering all users of their own company via the menu entry "User maintenance" under "Administration". Further menu items for "Administration" are planned in order to be able to operate IMDS-a2 as easily as the IMDS web application.

  3. Additional module REACH

In the additional module "REACH", the REACH analysis window contains the optional report type "O5A-compliant REACH report". It automatically checks components, subcomponents, branches without SVHC substances, candidate list (REACH SVHC). The option "omit branches without SVHC substances" means that branches or whole parts of the IMDBs are omitted from the REACH report if they do not contain SVHCs.
The previous designation "LCA" for "lowest component above" in the generated REACH report will be replaced by the REACH designation "Article". In addition, the new REACH file format contains 5 additional columns with "Top Component Part Number" and "Top Component Name".

  4. Excel format

The report format.xls (old Excel format) is no longer supported and is removed from the output format options.
