Question 1:
A supplier has submitted to us an MDB (IMDS entry) with the declarable / prohibited pure substance dioctyl tin oxide with a weighted average value of 0.865%.

On request, we received an explanation of the mean value, but we do not know whether this has been sufficiently confirmed in accordance with the EU directive.

Answer:

Unfortunately, you cannot do much with the mean value observation. The tin content must be calculated on the lock holder. We have compiled the calculation basis

IMDS Release 12.0
