href=\"https:\/\/www.imds-professional.com\/en\/reach-regulation-information\/\">REACH<\/a> is to make products safer and to protect health and the environment. Studies regularly published by the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) show that this is successful. They can be read <a href=\"https:\/\/echa.europa.eu\/technical-scientific-reports\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/echa.europa.eu\/documents\/10162\/17228\/report_tce_authorisation_en.pdf\/b5a4ba04-6f04-dcc5-f5b2-c1bb880d4152?t=1646134118854\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">latest study<\/a>, for example, shows that when trichloroethene (TCE) was added to the REACH candidate list in 2010, its use decreased by over 95%. TCE is a solvent that was commonly used in mold and roller washes in the printing industry and in metalworking operations as a parts cleaner. Trichloroethene is harmful to health and highly narcotic, is classified as a carcinogen (especially kidney cancer), and is suspected of causing genetic defects.<\/p>\n<p>The REACH candidate list is updated twice a year.
