2021, more than 7,000 companies have already submitted their articles containing SVHC to the SCIP database. German companies are among the frontrunners. According to ECHA, 1,861 of them are represented in the database so far. They are followed by Italy (1,442) and France (499), and 207 companies from Austria have submitted notifications. In total, 7 million articles have been deposited in the SCIP database.<\/p>\n<p>Quote from the ECHA press release on this (unauthorized translation):<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Anyone can access the database and search by article name, brand, product category, material type, chemical name or SCIP number. The information helps consumers make more informed and sustainable purchasing decisions. Waste managers can use the data to improve their current reuse and recycling practices.
