(perfluorinated and polyfluorinated alkyl substances), France has recently adopted one. PFAS will be banned from January 1, 2026, at least for cosmetics, clothing and ski waxes. This applies to production, import, export and sale. Exceptions apply to protective clothing, for example for firefighters and the military.<\/p>\n<p>From January 1, 2030, the ban will also apply to all other textiles, including carpets, upholstered furniture and outdoor equipment.<\/p>\n<p>Originally, kitchen utensils such as non-stick pans were also to fall under the ban. However, this has been withdrawn.<\/p>\n<p>The \u201cpolluter pays\u201d principle applies.
