\u201csimplify administrative burdens in environmental law.\u201d Feedback on the proposals can be submitted until September 10. The link: <a href=\"https:\/\/ec.europa.eu\/info\/law\/better-regulation\/have-your-say\/initiatives\/14794-Simplification-of-administrative-burdens-in-environmental-legislation-_en\">Simplification of administrative burdens in environmental legislation<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Specifically, the following topics are addressed:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Rationalization of reporting and notification requirements, for example, the abolition of the SCIP database (Substances of Concern in Products) under the Waste Framework Directive;<\/li>\n<li>Harmonizing the provisions for authorized representatives under extended producer responsibility (EPR) in each Member State where a manufacturer sells a product covered by EPR regulations, and facilitating EPR reporting;<\/li>\n<li>Streamlining reporting obligations, eliminating duplicate reporting obligations, promoting further digitization of reporting in the areas of circular economy, industrial emissions, and waste management while maintaining policy objectives;<\/li>\n<li>Addressing challenges in the approval of environmental impact assessments based on recent experience, for example under the Net Zero Industry Act.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The aim is to minimize bureaucratic effort.
