added the substance 1,1&#8242;-(ethane-1,2-diyl)bis[pentabromobenzene] (DBDPE) to the REACH Candidate List. It has very persistent and very bioaccumulative properties and is used as a flame retardant in various industries.<\/p>\n<p>The list now contains 251 entries. If products contain these substances, information on safe use must be provided and a notification must be submitted to the ECHA.
