(IMDS)<\/strong> is expected to be updated on <strong>January 21, 2026<\/strong>, with the release of <a href=\"https:\/\/public.mdsystem.com\/documents\/d\/imds-public-pages\/imds-newsletter66\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">version 15.2<\/a>. The new version brings several functional changes and optimizations that are relevant for all IMDS users. Here is an overview of the most important points:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Functional changes<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u2705 Exemption for ceramics and glass from the BPR regulation<\/strong><br \/>Classification 7.2 <strong>(ceramics\/glass)<\/strong> will be exempt from the obligation to enter BPR information in the future. This reduces the effort required for materials that are not covered by the Biocidal Products Regulation.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u2705 No \u201crest\u201d portion for GADSL\/SVHC substances<\/strong><br \/>For substances that are on the <strong>SVHC candidate list<\/strong> or marked as \u201cprohibited\u201d or \u201csubject to declaration\u201d in the <strong>GADSL<\/strong>, the <strong>\u201crest\u201d<\/strong> portion can no longer be selected. This improves data quality and ensures correct declaration.<\/p>\n<p>\u2705<strong> Display of the date of the last status change<\/strong><br \/>A new column is being introduced in <strong>all IMDS search masks<\/strong>: <strong>\u201cDate of last status change.\u201d<\/strong> This makes it easier to track changes and update material records.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Change to test notifications<\/strong><br \/>The notification for a <strong>successful check<\/strong> has been modified. It now clearly states that a successful check does <strong>not automatically mean full compliance<\/strong> with all applicable requirements. Companies must continue to ensure that their data complies with legal requirements.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What does this mean for IMDS users?<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Less effort for ceramic and glass materials<\/li>\n<li>Stricter rules for the declaration of SVHC and GADSL substances<\/li>\n<li>Greater transparency through additional status information<\/li>\n<li>Clearer communication for test notifications<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Release 15.2 is a further step toward increasing data quality in IMDS and communicating compliance requirements more clearly.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Do you need support?
