From November, the substance triphenyl phosphate (TPP or TPHP) will be added to the REACH candidate list as an SVHC. This is due to its endocrine disrupting properties. Triphenyl phosphate is used as a plasticizer and flame retardant, primarily in electrical and automotive components and for celluloid.

As soon as a substance is on the candidate list, companies that use it must comply with REACH reporting obligations and also submit a notification to the SCIP database.
