You will learn why the International Material Data System (IMDS) was established and its ongoing objectives. You will become familiar with the basic objectives and background information relating to the EU’s Green Deal. This includes the 2050 climate objectives, the carbon footprint, and the End-of-Life Vehicles Directive. You will become familiar with the global materials and product compliance requirements that underpin the IMDS and related systems. You will become familiar with the IMDS process flow, understand your responsibilities in terms of serving as a data link in the supply chain, and know when the time has come to start reporting in the IMDS. You will learn how to use the IMDS and understand common definitions. In addition, you will become familiar with the requirements and topics associated with the IMDS.
