Objective
You understand the structure, functionality, and objectives of the International Material Data System (IMDS) as well as its role within the automotive supply chain. You are familiar with the relevant IMDS regulations, OEM-specific requirements, and substance-related provisions, and can confidently apply them in practice.
You are able to create, review, and evaluate material and substance data in IMDS in a structured manner, as well as identify and avoid typical sources of error. In addition, you understand the importance of IMDS data for product and material compliance and can provide expert support in communication with suppliers and internal interfaces.
The IMDS Expert (PersCert TÜV) certification enables you to subsequently obtain the IMDS Officer (cert.) qualification at imds professional.
(This certification is recognized by the IMDS Steering Committee of the OEMs as well as by DXC Technology, the developer of IMDS, and is internationally accepted throughout the automotive supply chain.)
