The Extended Minerals Reporting Template (EMRT) is being expanded

Conflict minerals

In April, four minerals will be added to the Extended Minerals Reporting Template (EMRT). In addition to mica and cobalt, copper, graphite (natural), lithium and nickel can then also be reported using the Excel template. The background to this is the EU Battery Regulation.

The EMRT – as well as the CMRT for reporting the four conflict minerals tin, tantalum, tungsten and gold (3TG for short) – is published by the Responsible Minerals Initiative (RMI). It aims to support companies in fulfilling their due diligence obligations in accordance with the OECD Due Diligence Guidance for Responsible Supply Chains of Minerals from Conflict-Affected and High-Risk Areas.

Further information and the current version of the EMRT can be found here.
