On November 13, 2023, a mandatory PFAS notification law will come into effect in the USA. Companies that have been manufacturing products containing PFAS in the USA or importing them there since 2011 must report these substances. They have 18 or 24 months to do so. Production quantities, disposal, exposure and hazards must be reported. This is to be done through EPA’s Central Data Exchange (CDX) electronic reporting portal.

The rule was established by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) under the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA).
