On January 17, 2023, the updated REACH candidate list was published. Nine potentially hazardous substances (so-called SVHC) have been added. The substances are used, for example, in flame retardants, paints and coatings, inks and toners, coating products, plasticizers, and in the production of pulp and paper. Inclusion in the candidate list is accompanied by far-reaching information obligations in the supply chain. For you, this means that you may have to adapt your IMDS data sheets and SCIP dossiers or notify your customers and ECHA of additional products containing these substances.
