Understanding and applying the GADSL (No. 6192)
Objective
Get to know the GADSL: The Global Automotive Declarable Substance List (GADSL) is a tool used by the automotive industry to communicate information about chemical substances in components. It is used to improve transparency along the supply chain and ensure that products comply with global legal requirements. The GADSL is regularly updated to reflect new findings on substances and their risks.
You will learn about the current background and international objectives of the updated GADSL. You will learn about the regional structure of the GASG, the organization and its members. You will learn about the structure of the Excel-based GADSL list and its criteria for the inclusion of new pure substances. This will enable you to find GADSL-categorized pure substances in the IMDS database and identify critical pure substances in good time. In addition, you will learn all about the new Critical Raw Materials (CRM) pure substance group and its reporting obligation since 2022. You now have the most important aspects for declaring your database in compliance with the law.
