Vehicle manufacturers use the IMDS to fulfill their obligations in the area of material compliance. DXC Technology (formerly EDS) developed IMDS in 1999 on behalf of Audi, BMW, Daimler, Ford, Opel, Porsche, VW and Volvo. More than 100 automotive OEMs now belong to the IMDS network and IMDS has become the global standard. With IMDS, it is possible to comply with all national and international standards, laws and regulations.
Many OEMs now also use the iPCA solution from iPoint or IMDS-a2 or MaCS from DXC Technology to collect, analyze and process their data.
