imds professional at the AIAG IMDS & Product Chemical Compliance Conference in October

IMDS

On October 11 and 12, the IMDS & Product Chemical Compliance Conference will be held by AIAG. AIAG (short for Automotive Industry Action Group) is the US automotive industry association. We are pleased and proud to be able to give a presentation at the conference this year. It will be about the impact of due diligence and supply chain guidelines (e.g. LkSG) on material reporting. This is because, in addition to substance bans, other issues such as environmental protection, sustainability and human rights are increasingly coming into focus. Already – due in part to the Dodd-Frank Act, which mandates mandatory reporting for the conflict minerals tin, tantalum, tungsten and gold – many companies have committed to complying with certain due diligence requirements (in line with the OECD’s Due Diligence Guidelines). With the German Supply Chain Due Diligence Act, this will be even more the case from January 2023. Other countries also already have similar laws in place or in preparation, and a supply chain law is expected at EU level in 2026. Even companies that will not be directly affected, for example due to their size, should prepare themselves. As part of the supply chain, they may be required by their customers to comply with due diligence requirements.

We look forward to seeing you at the AIAG conference.
