IMDS Release 13.1 coming end of January

IMDS

The rollout of IMDS Release 13.1 is scheduled for January 26, 2022. We give you an overview and brief explanation of the upcoming changes:

SCIP attributes will be added to component search results

After the launch of Release 13.1, it will be possible to search for SCIP numbers, among other things. Currently this is difficult to do and very time consuming, depending on how many SCIP notifications you have created. Other fields added to the component search are:

  • Last Submission Date,
  • Submission No,
  • Production in EU (must be added manually) and
  • SVHC safe use statement required (must also be manually added).

Multiple S2S keys allowed per organizational unit

This helps, for example, companies that are only represented by one company in the IMDS, but also had to register their subsidiaries in the SCIP database. They can then store multiple S2S keys, which are necessary for data transmission, in the IMDS for one company/organizational unit. This is especially important for products that are already reported in IMDS or sold/manufactured by multiple sites (companies).

Other changes:
  • Visible warning about recyclates exceeding the maximum value of 20%
  • Classification 9.x can be excluded in SCIP submissions
  • Changes in editing application codes and standards
