PFAS DSL Query List in CDX system

CDX

In many countries around the world, PFAS – i.e. perfluoroalkyl and polyfluoroalkyl substances – are under observation, are already restricted in some cases and further bans are being examined or prepared. In order to be prepared as a company, we recommend that you deal with the issue at an early stage and prepare yourself. For example, by finding out which products contain PFAS and how they can be replaced if necessary.

It is not so easy to keep track of this. Depending on the definition, there are over 10,000 synthetic substances that can be counted as PFAS. In the CDX system, the regulation on the list of declarable PFAS substances has now been expanded to include 3,100 substances that are common in all sectors. This should enable more efficient data collection in the supply chain.

In addition, there is now a PFAS-DSL query list in the CDX. This is intended to ensure comprehensive data collection on the presence of PFAS, their use in production processes and compliance with established OECD guidelines, according to the operator DXC Technology. They want to make manufacturing companies pioneers in PFAS issues and help them to meet future developments in legislation.
