Advice and support for your SVHC reporting

Awareness-raising at decision-making level is often necessary to ensure sustainable steps towards REACH compliance. We also put you in a position to decide whether you want to handle REACH yourself. We train your staff or you can leave the REACH processing in our hands, either in whole or in part.

We support you in fulfilling your obligations correctly and on time and in preparing for future changes, for example when new substances are added to the ECHA candidate list. We will gladly take over all tasks in the area of substance classification and material reporting for you. We maintain your data in the SCIP database, IMDS or CDX, among others, as well as in other market-specific databases such as BOMCheck, iPoint and DataCross.

Authorization and reporting for substances of very high concern or mixtures of substances to the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) pose major challenges for affected companies. It is often not clear exactly which articles or mixtures are affected. This is because the information on this is not easy to evaluate, even for many experts. This is where you can rely on our years of expertise in environmental compliance and product conformity.

Our service accompanies you from the conception to the implementation of REACH projects. We identify critical articles or mixtures and substances of very high concern (SVHC), support you in reporting chemicals and articles, and show you how to optimize internal processes.

In doing so, as an experienced consulting firm, we provide you with the information relevant to your area so that you can make decisions on a legally compliant basis and implementation goes smoothly.

As an aid to the REACH regulation, the individual member states offer technical guidance documents, the so-called RIPs (stands for “REACH Implementation Project”). For example, RIP 1 describes the REACH process, RIP 2 describes REACH-IT, RIP 3 describes guidance for industry, RIP 4 describes guidance for authorities, RIP 5 describes the structure of the pre-agency, RIP 6 describes the structure of the agency, RIP 7 describes the preparation of the Commission and RIP 8 describes the requirements for substances in articles.

There are also governmental helpdesks, in Germany the national helpdesk of the Federal Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (BAuA). The EU Commission also provides all companies with the free IT application IUCLID to collect the required data on individual SVHC.

Use our “Specialist information on REACH” section to do your own research on the subject of chemicals, the candidate list for substances of concern and the requirements of the European Chemicals Agency ECHA!

If you are new to the topic, you will quickly notice that it is not easy to find out exactly which list or annex you need to search in and which links are relevant. This is where we, as a consulting company and partner for training and implementation, can help with our comprehensive service.

It is worthwhile for almost every company to take advantage of REACH consulting from professionals and, if necessary, to outsource individual tasks in connection with reporting to ECHA. This is where the interdisciplinary team of imds professional can help.
